Recruiting and retaining medical talent is a challenge for any hospital. The magnitude of the challenge is why Boston Children’s Hospital evaluates employee satisfaction in every aspect of their work day, even their commute.
When survey results revealed serious feelings of unreliability and misunderstanding with the employee shuttle service, Jim Smith, Manager of Parking and Commuter Services, quickly stepped in. He and Boston Children’s Hospital turned to TransLoc to create a real-time face for their employee shuttle system, bolstering employees’ sense of understanding and reliability. Boston Children’s found that a less stressful commute leads directly to happier employees and better patient care.
