Dynamically-routed transit by request is an option for every system with TransLoc OnDemand. Demand-response transit applications include University safe ride programs, on-demand support for fixed-route transit systems, and shuttle services. TransLoc OnDemand can also help replace low-performing routes to help streamline the efficiency of an agency’s entire system.


Riders


Riders request a ride through the TransLoc OnDemand app by selecting pickup and dropoff locations. Rides can be limited by predetermined service times and geographic area.


Drivers


Once a request is submitted, the driver is automatically notified and dispatched using GPS location to reduce missed pickups. The rider can track their vehicle’s approach in real time and will receive a text message when the vehicle has arrived.


Dispatch


Dispatchers can monitor pending, in progress, or completed rides and schedule call-in rides to be added to the automatic routing and dispatch system.
