As the Manager of Professional Services at TransLoc, Ashley helps customers realize their mobility and operational visions. She leads our Implementations Team, which onboards and trains all customers, and our Solutions Engineering Team, which advises customers to ensure they are getting the most value from their TransLoc solutions.
Ashley has been with TransLoc for nearly two years and brings a blend of experience in public health and transportation, fueled by her passion for helping people have the highest possible quality of life. She holds a master’s degree in public health from UNC – Chapel Hill, participated in Transit Center’s Women Changing Transportation mentorship program in 2020-21, and earned her AICP certification from the American Planning Association in 2022. Before coming to TransLoc, Ashley facilitated community engagement activities at GoTriangle (the transit agency in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina), and she helped plan and design bicycle, pedestrian, and transit infrastructure and programming with Toole Design.
“I am passionate about public transportation because, if designed and operated in the right way, it has the potential to truly transform people’s lives by opening opportunities, connecting communities, and mitigating climate change,” Ashley says. She goes on to say, “The way that our transportation infrastructure – our roads, sidewalks, bus networks, passenger rail lines, bikeways, ferries, etc. – connects and supports (or doesn’t support) communities directly impacts the health and wellbeing of our people and climate.”
In addition to transportation, Ashley is passionate about eliminating food insecurity and volunteers regularly at the Second Harvest Foodbank of Metrolina in Charlotte, NC to pack and sort donations in their warehouse. On weekends she likes to spend time tending to her plants, hiking with her dog and husband, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. This year, Ashley is also facing her fears and learning to swim! She says, “I’m 5 weeks into lessons and am empowered by the feeling that I can learn anything at any age.”
