CEO Brett Wheatley Leads Discussion about Transit Riders’ New Expectations
DURHAM, N.C., September 21, 2021 – COVID-19 drastically disrupted the state of public transit, and today’s riders disclose what will get them back on board. TransLoc, a leader in transit orchestration software and a part of the Ford mobility portfolio, will host a 60-minute virtual roundtable discussion about the results of its Transit Value Index on Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. EDT. Esteemed guest speakers join TransLoc CEO, Brett Wheatley, to analyze the survey results and strategize solutions that will optimize transit systems while meeting the newest rider demands
The Transit Value Index polled 1,200 U.S. working adults about their pre-pandemic transit behavior and future expectations. While many respondents frequent public transit, there are several factors the industry should address to help riders feel more comfortable when getting back on board.
“The Transit Value Index has given us invaluable insight into the rider perspective,” TransLoc CEO Brett Wheatley explains. “Facilitating this discussion will allow us to dive deeper into what these sentiments mean for transit agencies in the current and future state of the industry. We have a panel that will speak from the transit provider’s point of view, and I’m looking forward to hearing how they feel this data will help the transit community future-proof their systems.”
Guest speakers include Tricia Thomas, Content Marketing Manager at PublicInput, who educates local governments on the importance of increasing public engagement, communication, and equity. Additionally, Reggie Ellis, Director of Channel Partnerships & Sales Enablement at TransLoc, works to empower transit providers to deliver equitable mobility solutions and brings 20 years of partnership development to the group.
The roundtable event, Transit Value Index Survey: What 1,200 Riders Say About Returning to Transit, will be held on Sept. 22 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. EDT. Register to attend the virtual event and download the full report here.
