The Future of Transit: The Need for Innovation + Versatility
DURHAM, N.C., July 1, 2020 – Today, TransLoc’s Innovation Manager Alex Gibson and Product Manager Alex Allen lead a workshop on the future of transit at the CoMotion MIAMI LIVE Conference: A Bold New Blueprint for Mobility at 11:30 a.m. EDT.
The workshop titled “The Future of Transit: The Need for Innovation + Versatility” helps transit providers evolve through the unprecedented events triggered by COVID-19. According to Gibson and Allen, to be successful now and in the future, the transportation industry must embrace innovation, understand resilience, and remain nimble. The workshop leaders will take participants through activities that focus on adaptability and change management, and then they will show attendees how to pivot from a fixed-route to a flexible transit plan to navigate their riders’ changing needs during this unpredictable time.
Upon conclusion of the workshop, attendees will be able to develop best practices of innovation in the workplace. In addition, participants will learn practical innovation management tactics, including proven steps to implement innovation pathways in their organizations and how to improve already existing ones.
