TransLoc app gives parking customers real-time updates on shuttle bus locations
December 14, 2012 – NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nashville International Airport (BNA) announced today that it has partnered with TransLoc to provide free, real-time tracking for all airport parking shuttle buses.
“This relatively new technology keeps us on the cutting edge of airport customer service,” Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority President/CEO Rob Wigington said. “Now, parking customers will know instantly where the nearest shuttle bus is and can track its arrival.”
BNA is the first airport in the country to use TransLoc, which serves more than 60 customers across the country, including Gap, Microsoft and five Southeastern Conference universities. Users can download the free TransLoc app for iPhone, Android and Blackberry, and screens in the shuttle pickup area outside baggage claim will also display the TransLoc system.
Media members and airport customers can see a real-time view of the system at http://bna.transloc.com.
The service, which officially launches Monday, is the latest development designed to make parking at BNA easy and economical. The airport announced earlier this year a reduced daily rate in Short Term parking, making it one of the lowest such rates among the nation’s 50 busiest airports.
“Our recent parking upgrades are all part of what we call the Nashville Airports Experience,” Wigington said. “We’re always looking to see how we can improve our customer service, add new features and make flying fun again.”
