TransLoc - Senior Resource Association / Goline

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CARY, NC, October 14, 2026 — TransLōc, a provider of transit technology solutions for public transportation agencies, universities, airports, and municipalities, today congratulated longtime partner Senior Resource Association / GoLine on winning the American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA) 2026 Outstanding Public Transportation System Achievement Award, in the category for systems providing three million or fewer annual passenger trips. APTA’s official announcement lists the honoree as Indian River Transit, Vero Beach, Florida, which operates under the GoLine brand.

Serving a county of about 175,000 residents in Vero Beach, Florida, GoLine provided more than 1.59 million passenger trips in fiscal year 2025, the highest ridership total in the system’s 35-year history, with growth in 15 of the past 16 years. The agency has also held the lowest operating cost per passenger trip of any transit system in Florida for 10 consecutive years.

APTA’s award program also noted GoLine’s safety record: a preventable accident rate of less than 0.1 per 100,000 miles and zero fatalities from 2020 through 2025, with vehicular accidents falling from 15 in fiscal year 2017-18 to just two in fiscal year 2024-25, even as service output increased.

Karen Deigl, President and CEO of Senior Resource Association, and Chris Stephenson, Director of Indian River Transit, accepted the award on the agency’s behalf at APTA’s 2026 Honors Ceremony in Chicago, held October 6 during APTA’s TRANSform Conference and EXPO.

TransLōc is proud to support Senior Resource Association / GoLine as a longtime partner and celebrate this well-earned national recognition. Congratulations to the entire GoLine team, including Karen and Chris.
