Move Helps Transit Providers Meet Their Riders’ Post-Pandemic Needs

DURHAM, N.C., July 12, 2021 – TransLoc, a transportation software solutions company and part of Ford Mobility’s portfolio*, announces the appointment of Andy Lawrenz as vice president of product and TJ Letourneau as vice president of client experience. The appointments follow the March installment of Brett Wheatley as CEO and these executives will support TransLoc’s vast post-pandemic growth to help cities get people back to work.

“As the mobility sector ramps back up following the coronavirus pandemic, transit has evolved and so have the needs of transit agencies and their riders. TransLoc’s focus is to meet those needs by delivering nimble, flexible solutions to transit agencies and operators all while providing gold-standard customer service,” said Brett Wheatley, TransLoc CEO. “Andy and TJ have the combined experience and expertise to put TransLoc at the forefront of transit innovation. Their leadership will pave the way for a customer experience that goes beyond simply meeting customer needs to one that anticipates transit provider and rider demands to provide a greater standard of living for all.”

Andreas Lawrenz
An agile and business management executive with a proven track record of developing and delivering innovative products within the IoT and SaaS marketplace, Lawrenz has a record of success in building and empowering top-performing international teams, directing programs that tap into new revenue streams, and shaping digital transformation of businesses. His experience fostering innovation to tackle challenges will be key to ensuring that TransLoc continues to provide state-of-the art, creative and customer-centric mobility solutions. Lawrenz’s leadership is vital to creating unique solutions for transit providers and municipalities as we move beyond the coronavirus pandemic and into a new era of mobility.

“Mobility is a lifeline, and I love that TransLoc offers solutions that help make cities more livable for all,” Lawrenz said. “In my previous roles at telematics, IoT and automotive companies, my goal has always been to enable innovative products that provide a great value-for-money user experience, and I will continue to do the same at TransLoc.”

TJ Letourneau
Letourneau joins TransLoc with a background in customer support, operations management and IT operations that will elevate TransLoc’s client relations. He prides himself on being a success-focused thought leader whose expertise in retention and support have resulted in high-achieving customer success operations in previous positions at software companies such as SolarWinds MSP, VIPRE Security, and ThreatTrack Security. Letourneau’s experience will be instrumental in helping transit operations evolve and increase mobility access for transit riders.

“When making the decision to join the TransLoc family I really took to heart what the mission here is and the impact we can make for our clients and communities. That impact isn’t just financial, we have the opportunity to improve quality of life and drive more equality throughout the communities we serve,” Letourneau said. “At TransLoc I’m able to align my passion for helping organizations solve unique problems with my personal passion to help people, and I’m excited about what we can do together now and how we can impact the future.”

Not only will the addition of Lawrenz and Letourneau strengthen TransLoc’s position as a leading provider of mobility solutions, it reinforces the continued growth of the Ford subsidiary and its focus on creating solutions that disrupt and power the future of mobility.
