DURHAM, NC, February 28, 2023 – TransLoc was honored with a First Place APTA AdWheel Award for “Best Marketing and Communications on Workforce Development – Social Media” for a series of social media graphics created to support recruitment efforts.

The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) holds the annual AdWheel Awards competition to recognize transit systems and business members for outstanding marketing and communications efforts. This year, nearly 300 entries were evaluated by dozens of industry experts who judged Effectiveness/Success in Achieving Purpose/Goals; Overall Impact and Impression; Clarity of Message and Information; and Production Quality.

The Workforce Development category was introduced to recognize the current challenges in hiring and retaining bus/rail operators and all other public transportation industry staff.

TransLoc’s winning entry will be considered in a final round of judging to determine the Grand Awards, which will be presented at the APTA’s TRANSform Conference, October 8-11, 2023 in Orlando.
