DURHAM, N.C., November 18, 2021 – What do more innovative transit solutions mean for systems that have been utilized for decades? TransLoc, a leader in transit orchestration software and a part of Ford’s mobility portfolio*, will address this question at CoMotion LA in Los Angeles during a workshop that discusses the positive impact that new transit technology has on optimizing legacy transportation systems. TransLoc’s Manager of Project Implementations Ashley Schultz and Manager of Solutions Engineering Austin Stanion present Cultivating Our Mobility Ecosystem: How to Promote Multimodal Harmony this Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021 at 12:15 p.m. PST.
The presentation centers on the increased adoption of microtransit solutions in place of fixed-route services. Schultz and Stanion hone in on the benefits of collective mobility and how these technologies, among others, can work together in tandem to meet the needs of diverse communities. Together, they will explore the critical nature of data sharing, the need for reliability within various modes of transportation, and the importance of the built-environment.
Schultz stresses, “Transit doesn’t have to be either/or. There is still a space for traditional transit methods as we begin introducing new technologies that optimize the way we move and solve emerging transportation problems. It’s important to recognize the varying needs of transit providers and their riders –– and then outfit them with the best solution available.”
CoMotion’s conference, Land, Sea, Air: The Bold New Frontiers of the Mobility Revolution, gathers policy makers, leading technologists, public transport operators, and more for three days of immersive and interactive talks, demos, and workshops. The event aims to pave the way for cities and transportation systems as they enter a historic and impactful era of the mobility revolution.
