DURHAM, N.C., July 19, 2022 – The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) holds an annual awards competition to recognize transit systems and business members for outstanding marketing and communications efforts.
Around 300 entries were evaluated by dozens of industry experts and First Place awards were presented in four categories: best marketing and communications on the COVID-19 pandemic, campaigns to support ridership or sales, educational efforts, and projects to highlight transit needs and funding.
TransLoc was honored with a First Place AdWheel Award in the Best Educational Partnership category, for our partnership with University of California San Diego (UC San Diego) which delivers an improved multimodal mobility experience to 75,000 students traveling between classes, research labs, student organization fairs, grab-and-go dining services, and an endless list of other Triton activities.
In the Best Marketing and Communications to Highlight Transit Needs/Funding Electronic Media category, TransLoc was honored with a First Place AdWheel Award for developing and hosting a live, virtual roundtable event entitled “ARP & Infrastructure Bill, & Access to Transit” which featured a variety of industry experts who shared thoughts on the short- and long-term impact that the influx of cash from the Infrastructure Bill & Jobs Act may have on U.S. transportation services.
TransLoc will face a final round of judging to determine the Grand Awards, which will be presented at the APTA’s TRANSform Conference, October 9-12, 2022, in Seattle.
