CEO Brett Wheatley presents Public Transit in America: Meeting Higher Rider Expectations with Technology & Innovation

DURHAM, N.C., September 28, 2021 – COVID-19 significantly impacted the transit rider experience, and now transit providers can take advantage of new data being presented at MOVE America about rider behaviors and expectations to successfully meet their needs moving forward. TransLoc, a leader in transit orchestration software and a part of the Ford mobility portfolio*, presents Public Transit In America: Meeting Higher Rider Expectations with Technology & Innovation. The virtual session will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 1:50 p.m during MOVE America’s two-day mobility event in Austin, Texas.

TransLoc CEO, Brett Wheatley, says, “People are excited about getting back on public transit, but their expectations are much higher than they were before the pandemic. It’s up to us to figure out how to serve those pain points and how to really improve the rider experience.”

The virtual session pulls data from TransLoc’s 2021 Transit Value Index to highlight rider behavior prior to the pandemic and their expectations moving forward including technology, safety protocols, and expanded routes. Wheatley also uses survey data to show Americans’ readiness for smarter, more efficient transit services like electric and autonomous vehicles.

MOVE America reimagines mobility at their in-person event designed to partner, learn, connect, and create with companies who are looking to shape the future of transportation. Focused on models, technology, and sustainability, MOVE America aims to drive change through innovation for the transit industry.
