CARY, N.C., August 12, 2026 — TransLōc, a transit technology company, shared an update today on General Manager Troy Morris’s first months in the role. Morris has spent that time largely in direct conversation with the agencies and operators who use TransLōc’s technology every day. TransLōc provides Fixed Route, OnDemand Microtransit, SafeRide, and GTFS solutions for transit agencies, universities, airports, and municipalities.
Morris joined TransLōc in May 2026, bringing more than 10 years of experience in revenue leadership and more than 20 years working in technology and SaaS environments. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer and General Manager at an education technology company, where he led improvements in revenue growth, profitability, team alignment, and go-to-market execution. He has also served as a part-time Advisor and fractional COO and CRO for an advisory services firm since April 2025. His background also includes leadership roles spanning business transformation and the scaling of high-performing teams. He holds a B.A. from Hillsdale College and an MBA from Wayne State University.
Since stepping into the role, Morris has prioritized time on-site and on calls with TransLōc customers over time at a desk, meeting the people who dispatch vehicles, manage fleets, and answer to riders when something goes wrong.
The fastest way to understand what we need to fix and what we’re already doing well is to ask the people using the system,” Morris said. “I’ve been on calls, in virtual meetings, and on-site with our customers, asking what’s working and what isn’t. That’s what a customer-centric company does, and it starts with the leader. I want our customers to know they can reach me directly, and I intend to keep learning from them. That’s how we get better at serving them.

Morris steps into the role at a time of sustained investment in TransLōc’s technology platform. Over the past year, TransLōc has released a new driver app, headway management tools, in-app driver messaging, self-edit capabilities for schedules and routes, and an updated reporting platform, with additional capabilities planned. That investment is aimed at giving agencies and their drivers more accurate, real-time tools for day-to-day operations.
Morris leads the TransLōc business with a focus on sustainable growth, customer relationships, team performance, and operational productivity, working closely with the Modaxo and TransLōc teams to set business strategy, generate new business, and strengthen retention.
