TransLoc, Tri Delta Transit Microtransit Partner

Dynamic on-demand service offers a new and affordable option to riders

DURHAM, N.C., June 17, 2019 – TransLoc, a Ford Smart Mobility company*, announces the launch of Tri MyRide with Eastern Contra Costa Transit Authority (Tri Delta Transit). The flexible public transit rideshare service will run for 6 months and operate Monday through Friday from 5 a.m.-6 p.m.

“By partnering with technology companies, Tri Delta Transit is meeting the evolving needs of passengers in our community,” said Chief Executive Officer Jeanne Krieg. “Tri MyRide allows our agency to provide on-demand service from the convenience of their smart phone app.”

The on-demand microtransit service will complement existing public transportation and allow riders to schedule customized trips anywhere in the Hillcrest/Antioch or San Marco/Pittsburg Bay Point BART service areas to another BART station or a designated drop-off location within the service area. All of the neighborhood-friendly buses are wheelchair accessible and can accommodate people with disabilities.

“TransLoc is enthusiastic about our partnership with Tri Delta Transit,” said TransLoc Vice President of Customers Ron Cygnarowicz. “They understand the value and innovation behind our microtransit technology, which is designed to optimize mobility and grant greater accessibility to those who reside within the service areas. We look forward to creating a positive impact within the community through this affordable transit solution.”

Tri MyRide passengers located within the service area can request a ride by downloading the free Microtransit app by TransLoc. The app will provide passengers with an estimated pick-up time, track buses in real-time, and alert riders when their bus is about to arrive. The cost per trip is only $2 and payment may be made through the Microtransit app or with cash.
