Faced with the challenge of growing, managing infrastructure and improving the quality of life for residents, today’s cities are under immense pressure. As such, municipalities are embracing the smart city principle—where information and communication tech is integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT) to manage a city’s assets.
At this year’s Smart Cities Summit in Boston, we, along with GoTriangle, presented the mission, vision, and impact of our public-private partnership. More specifically, we covered how together we provide commute and travel options that form a seamless mobility network for one of the fastest-growing regions of the U.S. The Triangle area currently supports 2 million residents with 64 new people moving to the area daily. With such robust growth, enhancing mobility for all is of the utmost importance.
